Abstract:
Transects digitized from a 1:9000 scale map photocopied from the CH2M-Hill "Silver Bow Creek Flood Modeling Study". Each line has two attributes: ID is the two-letter transect label, and ELEVATION is the 100-year flood elevation read from flood profile sheet 14 from the report.

These data were formerly available from the Montana State Library web site but were removed because they are potentially out of date. Please contact the Federal Superfund Bureau of the Montana Department of Environmental Quality if you want these data so they may tell you if newer or better data are available. If the data are not available from the Department of Environmental Quality, you may request a copy from the Montana State Library data archive.
Purpose:
The State Library used this layer to generate a data set that shows where the floodplain surface described by this layer is above the level of the ground. The process for this is shown in the accompanying macro, 94dhes37a.aml.
